Well we could write about the past here and how brilliant everyone has been in bringing the club to where it is and the amount of names that we could mention.

But I also want to write about where we are at the moment and where we are going. We are currently in Division 1 of the Waterworld North Staffs and South Cheshire League. We have people who work hard in maintaining the development of the club both on and off the field.

There are plans ahead to build on what we have at the moment in terms of facilities with regards to the club, new showering facilities for all members, new ECB standard nets, new covers and what sounds like an area for those summer nights by the new conservatory which will be a paved area.

This all goes to show that with the right application and with help from the members of the cricket club both on and off the field we can make and continue to make Meir Heath cricket club not only a wonderful place to play cricket but (as always) an entertaining place to be!!!
